Roman Minin (b. 1981, Dymytrov, today Myrnohrad, Donetsk Oblast) is a Ukrainian artist. From 1998 to 2002, he studied at the Kharkiv State Art School in the pedagogy department. In 2008, he completed his Master’s degree in the monumental painting department at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts (under the tutelage of Viktor Hontariv).

In 2008, he completed his Master’s degree in the monumental painting department at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts (under the tutelage of Viktor Hontariv).
Early ages
He organised the Street Art Festival in Kharkiv from 2007 to 2011 and led the “Izolyatsia in Urban Space” programme at the Donetsk Centre for Contemporary Art “Izolyatsia” in 2012. He was also a guest lecturer at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts in 2013. From 2020 to 2022, he ran Minin ArtHub in Kharkiv, a space for creative meetings and educational initiatives related to virtual and augmented reality art. Since 2022, he has been living in Charleroi, Belgium.
Fame
In his practice, Minin combines various media, including painting, sculpture, street art, SMS art, photography, VR, and AR. He was a nominee for the PinchukArtCentre Prize in 2013. He won the OFAM Wall competition, organised by the Odesa Fine Arts Museum in 2021. He is also the laureate of the I. Yu. Repin Prize in 2021.
